Ladies Night Out! ~ {Ft. Walton Beach Pet Photography by Allison Shamrell}

Saturday, July 16th, 2011

This Thursday night, dozens of ladies and their dogs came out to 3 Dogs & A Chick for July’s downtown Ft. Walton Beach Ladies Night Out! (That’s a mouthful, haha!) Anyways, this is a fun, once-a-month outing that’s hosted by one of the downtown businesses. Next month it’ll be the new cupcake shop next door, Cupcakes By the Beach! But this month 3 Dogs and A Chick stepped up to the plate, and bunches of two-legged and four-legged ladies made their appearance. It was a lot of fun, and people won a LOT of door prizes! (As luck would have it, the prize I donated went to one of my recent clients… but she’s going to pass it on to a friend, so everybody wins!)

It was great to meet everyone that came out – and I mean everyone! Here are some of the happy faces I got to see on Thursday.

Sneak Peek of Cinder! ~ {Fort Walton Beach, FL Pet Photographer Allison Shamrell}

Thursday, January 20th, 2011

My most recent session features a very special dog from Fort Walton Beach: Cinder the Chihuahua. Her vet thinks she’ll be “crossing the bridge” pretty soon, so it was a bittersweet day as we played at her grandma’s house in Shalimar. Here are just a few pictures of her, so her mom can have a sneak peek before I show her the rest in person! I can’t wait to publish all the photos, especially because it won’t be a normal blog post! I have a special new presentation for everyone to see, so stay tuned!

Callie, Max & Bitsy ~ {Pensacola, Florida Pet Photographer Allison Shamrell}

Soft-Coated Wheaten Terriers have a special place in my heart; they’ve been my family’s dogs for years, so I was absolutely thrilled to photograph these old guys! Although the youngest of this trio is 10, you wouldn’t know it! Callie is the terrier that ran around the field the whole time we were there! Bitsy the Chihuahua is a recent addition to this family, and since she unfortunately doesn’t like strangers, we didn’t manage to build up trust by the end of the one-hour session (let’s just say I’m glad she only has four teeth). Callie and Max had no problem with me, though, and I’m glad- they’re so gorgeous! Here are just a few of my favorite shots from this past Saturday.

Side note: I’ve decided to lengthen my blog posts. I figure you’re here to see the photos, right? So here’s more of what you want!

A quick shot back at the office… look. at. that. tongue.

So this week I’ve been playing around with a filmstrip look… what do you think?? I left these in pretty big format, so you can click on them to make them bigger for more detail. Check out the dirt Callie kicks up on the 4-photo collage!
