Veterinarian Profile: Market Street Vet Clinic, in Downtown San Diego

Today it’s my pleasure to introduce you to one of San Diego’s most award-winning veterinary clinics – which just happens to be Bailey’s vet, as well! Market Street Vet Clinic just relocated to a brand new facility in downtown San Diego, and it’s beautiful! Their new building (633 7th Avenue, San Diego, CA 92101 – between Market St. & G St.) even has 2 reserved parking spots in the adjoining lot! It’s definitely a great clinic and if you’re looking for a new vet in the area, you should definitely stop in to say hello. I brought my camera for Bailey’s latest appointment (speaking of which, check out my Instagram for a video of her antics in the lobby… sigh) and decided to take a few photos to share with you! So take a look!  :)

Here’s a peek at their newly-decorated lobby – I love the burlap prints on the wall! And let me tell you, the in-ground scale? Genius.

Here’s the opposite wall in the lobby, which they’ve decked out with all sorts of goodies! (Sorry I don’t have too many wide-angle shots to share; I came during business hours so there were people & employees around, of course, but I didn’t bring any model releases… gah! Lesson learned, haha! Hopefully these photos still give you a good idea of how modern & fun the lobby is anyway.)

They have a massive red banner spanning the north wall that simply contains 3 words: “Compassion. Love. Prevention.”

And all sorts of cute decor adorning the shelves!

How cool are these white (porcelain?) statues?! There’s two of them facing inward, toward the hallway to the exam rooms.

And whenever Bailey’s low on heartworm meds, we stop in to re-stock.

Check this out: one of their customers designs custom jewelry, and donates the proceeds to local dog rescues! How awesome!

Remember how I said they’re award-winning? Check it out! The Downtown Reader’s Choice is a big deal!

I’m a big fan of the TV show Scrubs… so I was pretty excited when Bailey was assigned to Dr. Dorian. Haha!

Oh, look! A “recommended businesses” section, with yours truly in the mix! :)

And… drumroll please… the exam rooms are my favorite part! Haha!

Market Street Vet contacted me about displaying my work in their new exam rooms, and I was happy to oblige! I gave them free reign to pick their favorite images from my website, and they selected Bella the Great Dane to represent the canines they serve!

I worked with them closely on the size & aesthetics of the display, and one of the decisions we made was to border the canvas gallery wraps with white sides, instead of their natural background colors, to set them off a bit from the gray walls.

My fisheye lens gives a better view of the whole room. (That black object is an exam table that comes down like an ironing board.)

And in the next room, Otis the cat!

I think he looks great on canvas, don’t you?

Again, white borders – and the whole room from a fisheye perspective.

I can personally recommend Market Street Vet, because they’re so good with Bailey and she’s always happy to come in. They even take her into “the back room” for vaccines & shots without me, and she comes out wagging her tail! They’re great, caring people, and you can tell they really know dogs & cats. Plus, they have complimentary Keurig coffee in the lobby! If you live nearby – or even if you don’t – I definitely suggest giving them a call. And no, they’re not paying me to say all this, haha – I just know good service when I see it.  :)
