Dog Photography in Felicita Park, Escondido

I enjoyed a fabulous dog photography session with three happy-go-lucky dogs (and one shy pup) in Escondido yesterday afternoon! Birdie, Bandit & Nugget took me on a hike through Felicita Park, a public park in their neighborhood, and it was such a beautiful place that I’m already anxious to go back! Haha – I have a feeling it’ll definitely be a new favorite location for my future clients!

Let me introduce you to the pack: First: the incomparable Nugget. LOOK at that FACE. And he had a super-silly attitude to go with it! His parents think he’s a terrier/basset hound/German shorthaired pointer mix… maybe… I have no idea what breeds combined to make that combination of adorable! Haha!

Here are Birdie (yellow) and Bandit (black). Bandit is the more recent addition to the family, and earned her name because when playing fetch with Birdie, she’d always steal the ball away from her & bring it back to her owners to get all the credit! Haha! Turns out she’s a great little poser, too…

And then we stopped by a place the dogs only know as “heaven” – a stream with pools of water big enough to swim around in and fetch big sticks out of. Birdie especially was having the time of her life – she’s a strong athlete and was simply bursting for her dad to throw the stick every single time!

Last but certainly not least: Zoey. This poor girl hasn’t had an easy life, and is terribly scared of most people. I was lucky that she’d be in the same room with me, much less give me these sweet eyes for a photo. Oh Zoey – you break my heart. I’m so glad you found your forever family.

Brigid, thank you so much for the workout – I mean, session – and for letting me get to know your beautiful dogs! It’s clear they all won the dog lottery when you rescued them. Talk to you soon – and in the meantime, give them all a hug for me! :)

My cousin is the rescuer of these dogs, so I know them very well. You captured each of them perfectly. Beautiful photos!
